Old Police Station Garden

UPDATE 2025: The Police Station, and many other buildings in the downtown Simpsonville area, were removed and a municipal campus was created. The Garden Club's maintenance of the area ended with the start of the construction.

The club selected the Simpsonville Police Station for beautification and ongoing upkeep in 2013.  The Police Station was removed in 2024 with changes to downtown and while the garden club no longer has the Police Station to take care of, we keep this as a reminder of beautification projects over the years.

Our objectives are to provide police and city employees with an enjoyable landscape, and to provide visual interest for street traffic while inspiring pride in our community.  By so doing, we fulfill our mission to encourage civil plantings.

The Simpsonville Garden Club provides all maintenance for this project except occasional watering and mulch application by city personnel.  Members meet periodically through the growing season to perform maintenance.
