USING EVERGREENS IN HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS

Suggested Evergreens

Boxwood

Cypress

Hemlock (include the cones)

Short Needle Pine

Cedar

Holly (include berries)

Fir

Eucalyptus

Conditioning Plant Material

Plant material used in your arrangements, topiaries and porch pots will last throughout the holiday season if conditioned properly. Trim your evergreens and submerge them in deep water.  Let them soak for 6 to 24 hours. This process hardens off your evergreens and prolongs the life of the plant material.
